Sunday September 12
Survival of the Shawangunks - Mohonk NY
Team Bikeway.com went 1-2 for this one. The man, the myth, the legend, our Prez, Justin Harris showed 'em how its done with a win at this ultra-hard, 8-stage race. I heard something about lots of pain and requests for morphine but eye-witnesses say it looked like a walk in the park for him. But only 29 seconds behind was our own Keith Strudler. Great job guys! Serious athletes.
Toughman Half Ironman - Croton Point, NY
Colin Martin was an AWESOME 12th overall out of 544 finishers in a time of 4:38, nipping at the heels of the elites and winning his age group by 3/4 of an hour!
Blue Mountain MTB Race - Peekskill NY
Tim Schopen finished a great 6th, despite a big crash. How's that thumb, Timmy?
Last but not least: Bear Mountain Fall Road Race - Harriman, NY
They split the Category 5 men into two groups of 50 by age for this one. In his group, Mike Tanzi left the field behind as soon as they came out of neutral and that was all she wrote - solo victory by 1:40!!! Love it. Eric Eckley, who was racing in the second group, finished in a great 14th.
If I missed anyone/anything let me know!!!
