Saturday June 5th, Mooseman Olympic Distance Triathlon, NH
Londina Cruz went up to New Hampshire, and placed 11th in her age group in a time of 2:30. Great job Londina!

Sunday June 6th, Rev3 Half Ironman, CT
Judging by the weather radar, it looked like the thunderstorms held off for the most part in CT, but it was still a hot and humid day to swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles on a tough and hilly course, and top it off with a half marathon at the Rev3 tri at Quassy Park in CT.
Tony Tanzi finished 4th in his age group in a time of 5:04
Joe Glauda finished 34th in his age group in a time of 5:41
Michael Koch finished 61st in his age group in a time of 6:42
We have some serious athletes among us!
If anyone would like to send me a race report please e-mail me at audrey@bikeway.com and I'll post it up.

Sunday June 6th, Bikeway Triathlon Clinic
Our first triathlon clinic held at the Wappingers Bikeway shop on Sunday morning was a big success! Thanks to Justin and Featured Athlete Lukas Siska for imparting their wisdom. Although the weather didn't cooperate so well for planned transition practice and a run, Justin and Lukas did a great and informative job of walking attendees through a triathlon - between their descriptions and advice, and answers to the audience's questions about everything from how to get in or out of a wetsuit quickly to how close you can rack your bike next to someone else's, everyone left feeling more prepared for the next (or first!) time they participate in a triathlon or duathlon. We hope to plan and hold more clinics to build on our successful first venture, so stay tuned.

Also, we continue to add new members to the team, and have met our inaugural season goal of 50 Team Bikeway.com members!! It has been a while since our first team meeting in the beginning of April, so we are hoping to have a team meet and greet soon. Mark Saturday July 10th as a tentative date on your calendar for a pot-luck bbq at the Wappinger shop after it closes for the day at 5:00. Details to come.
