FAQ:

APPLYING/JOINING THE TEAM

Q: Do I need to finalize my schedule before applying to the team?

A: You do not have to be registered for all of your events for the season prior to applying for the team. However, you must make sure that on your application you indicate which races you plan on competing in and please make sure that you have the correct number of races on your application required to meet whichever level of support you are applying for (i.e 12 races=Featured Athlete, 6 races=Race Team).

STORE SERVICES

Q: How do I redeem store discounts when purchasing items at Bikeway?

A: Please inform the Bikeway Employee at checkout that you are on the team and give them your full name so that your purchase is filled under your name. Your discount level will be noted in our Point of Sales system.

Q: If I have a race on Saturday or Sunday when is the best time to bring my bike in for a pre-race tune-up?

A: Tuesday or Wednesday would be the best days to drop off your bike to be ready for pick-up on Friday or Saturday. If you cannot get it in on those days please call to arrange something on Thursday or Friday with our Head Mechanic Rob Scott. NOTE: As the riding and racing season kicks into high gear, the shop wil become very busy and crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. Therefore, please do not bring your bike in on Friday or Saturday expecting to get a full tune-up for your race the next day!! Of course emergencies are a different situation, but please, please plan ahead, thanks!!

TRAINING
Q: Am I required to train/exercise with the team?

A: No. There are no requirements to train with us.  Of course, we encourage you to join us at Wappingers at 8 am on Saturdays for our group ride, and some of our new group rides which will be announced soon.

Q: Are Triathlon bikes allowed on group rides?

A: Yes, however, if you have a road bike we encourage you to bring it instead. If you only have a triathlon bike please do not ride in your aero bars as it is not safe for you or others in the group.
