TEAM MEETING FOLLOW-UP and Race Rewards Program


Thanks again to everyone who attended our team meeting yesterday! So nice to see so many returning faces and meet new members! We are already well on our way to our goal of 100 members this year!! Just wanted to make a few follow-up announcements and provide some info for those who couldn't make the meeting:

1. Beginner Tri Clinic: Don't forget! Sunday Feb 6th at 9AM at Bikeway in Wappingers.

2. Clothing: Again, we are excited for our new 2011 clothing design and the new items Verge has to offer in the re-designed tri gear and the new Primo cycling clothing line in addition to the traditional Elite kits. Please be aware that the items available to try on last night do not represent the total run of sizing available in every item: all of the Verge clothing is available in size XS to 3XL, in men's and women's. So if you felt like you needed a size that wasn't there based on the fit of what you were able to try, order the one you feel you will need. As we mentioned, the final design of the women's tri clothing (elite top and bottom and a primo tri suit) is being accomplished now and we hope to have them to try on ASAP. We will post an announcement for the ladies when they are available and times to come in to the shop to try them on.

For those of you who handed in order sheets, we will be sending out an e-mail summarizing your order shortly, so you can confirm it before the final order is placed with Verge. We are hoping to get that order in well before the end of the month. If you didn't make it to the meeting, or want to try something on again, never fear: the clothing will be available during store hours tomorrow, Saturday February 5th and Wednesday, February 9th. Order sheets will also be available for completion at the shop.

We'll also be ordering team clothing for general inventory so if all else fails you can grab it off the Bikeway shelves.

3. One-time purchase program: It you were a 2010 Race or Club member and were not present at the meeting and are interested in purchasing helmets, tri-vent shoes, s-works road shoes, tires, cages, etc. please email Justin for more details.

4. Application deadlines: At this time, the application deadline for Featured Athlete status of 1/31/11 has passed. We have identified the five athletes Team Bikeway.com will be supporting as Featured Athletes: Erica Ruge, Shawn Jackson, Lukas Siska, Justin Harris and Audrey Scott. Four are returning athletes, and we are excited to welcome Erica to the Team!!

As posted, the application deadline to be a member of the Race Team is May 31, however, we encourage you to complete and submit applications as soon as possible.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: 2010 Members will not receive any discounts and we will not place a clothing order for you with the February order unless we have received your completed 2011 team member application form!!


5. Race Rewards Program: At Bikeway, we respect all levels of athletes on our Club/Team and encourage all of you to participate in competition. Both the store and the team's goal's are to strive to be the best in the area and we want to reward those of you who are out there dedicating yourselves to being healthier individuals. This is setup to reward those who are racing and showing off the Bikeway colors on the podium whether you are on the Club or Race Team!

How do you get it? Simply print off the form HERE and fill out the information required and hand it in. NOTE: Only races involving bicycling, such as BMX, MTB, Road, Triathlon, Duathlon, etc are accepted. Running only races do not count. If you are unsure if the event qualifies please contact us.

Rules:
  1. This program is only available for Club and Race Team members who are competing.
  2. To qualify for the rewards, you must submit a picture of you wearing Team Bikeway.com clothing on the podium or with the award somewhere at the event (Be creative!). Pictures should be emailed to Justin so he can promote it on the blog/facebook.
  3. You must also physically hand in the sheet to Justin, Audrey, Mike, or Doug for approval.
